The unique feature of our Taper Grid Couplings is that the grid absorbs the shock, vibration and overload that happens when the machine starts. Due to the flexibility of the grid, the direction of the force is spread across the surface of the tooth, reducing quivering and sudden pressure.
Octaforce taper grid couplings are torsionally flexible to absorb shock loads and vibration. When there is sudden overload during use, the grid breaks and saves the shaft and the machine. The grid spring is the low cost component of the coupling which is replaceable. 1) Parallel Misalignment
